Heres a helpful tip that let me beat the game pretty easily. When ever choosing a weapon, always keep the chain-saw as a secondary. Despite the long reload time and short reach, it is vital for when the wall collapses. If it does that is. I usually keep it no matter what and because of that, I actually won a lot even though my wall reached 0 hp. The secret is to move a lot when the wall collapses and not leaving any open area for them to sneak up to you or down to you. It may seem dumb, but the closer, the better.
